Looks can be quite misleading when it comes to certain dog breeds. For example, one of the meanest-looking dogs, the pit bull, can actually be very kind. No one would imagine this type of dog to be afraid of anything. However, the following story shows quite a surprising contradiction.
Ziggy, the pit bull, was caught off guard when his owners rescued a cat. They found it stuck in a drain one evening, crying for help. After bringing it to the vet, the cat was brought home and named Tic Tac.
Ziggy was not a fan of his new housemate. Tic Tac would often approach him, but he would move away promptly. It was an odd sight how such a big dog was terrified of a small cat.
All the cat wanted to do was snuggle with Ziggy. Unfortunately, he wanted none of what Tic Tac was offering. His owners often had to tell him to stay and sit still, but his fear would take over.
During the first week of the cat’s stay, the owners thought the two pets would never get along. However, after two weeks, they started seeing changes to Ziggy’s behavior. Tic Tac would often rest her head on Ziggy’s chest, and he would sit still and allow it.
The pets’ relationship has come a long way. They have become inseparable best friends. The owners were there to witness such a relationship blossom. Their patience and faith in both animals paid off.
Nowadays, both Tic Tac and Ziggy love going on walks at the nearby river. If the sight of them isn’t strange enough, the cat is also on a leash. Furthermore, both of them can also walk freely off-leash without any consequences.
The tandem’s owners admit that they never expected Tic Tac and Ziggy to get along so well. They only wished for them to co-exist. Yet, they ended up becoming so attuned to one another.
