Dogs who don’t get along often try to fight or hurt each other. However, dogs who are always fighting do not mean they don’t get along. If that seems a bit confusing, then the story below elaborates further on the difference.
Ppari and Baguette are two dogs with a confusing dynamic. Most of the time, they get along similar to brothers and sisters. However, on several occasions, they can’t stop fighting. The fighting, however, only happens when the owners are present.
When the couple is outside, the two dogs love to bond. However, their bonding activity is quite destructive. They get along by making a mess inside the house, tearing trash bags apart. The owners are left unaware of how to deal with their confusing pets.
An animal expert was hired by the couple to shed some light on the mystery. Fortunately, after the initial observation, the expert relayed a valuable lesson. Ppari and Baguette are not actually fighting to hurt each other.
The expert elaborated by explaining a few key factors. Dogs who are out to hurt each other aim for the neck. In the two dogs’ case, they were biting each other’s tails. Both dogs are also different breeds which means their needs are different, and friction can occur. They are like old married couples who fight.
The expert also found out that most of the toys in the house are more suited for Ppari, a French bulldog. Baguette, who has a longer snout, doesn’t fancy toys for playing tug. Therefore, the export recommended getting more puzzle-type toys.
When both dogs received toys that were compatible with them, the fighting stopped. They also felt no need to bite other items in the house. However, the owners sprayed bitter liquid in areas that the dogs constantly chewed on for added safety measures.
