Here’s a story of how a dog, despite his tiny physique, had shown bravery and heroism just to protect its owner from danger.
Macy, a 6-year-old Yorkie, was out for a walk with her 10-year-old owner, Lily. It was a calm and quiet Sunday morning in their Toronto neighborhood when suddenly, out of nowhere, an animal that resembled a huge dog was right behind them.
It turned out to be a coyote! And it was chasing both Macy and Lily.
Frightened by what the wild animal could do, both of them ran as fast as they could.
While running for their lives, Lily was trying her best to shout for help with the hopes of waking up her neighbors. Unfortunately, no one heard her as it was still quite early in the morning. But what was more alarming is that the coyote was getting closer and closer to them!
Horrified about the coyote attacking them, Lily dropped Macy’s leash and started banging on doors and ringing doorbells to ask for help. But Macy, knowing that she had to step up to protect her owner, bravely fought back the coyote to stop it from hurting them both.
Despite Macy being a tiny dog, she furiously did her best to attack the coyote in order to save herself and Lily. She really stood her ground but was bitten by the coyote right before the neighbor came out to chase it away. Sadly, she had suffered a lot of injuries and bites, and had to be taken to the intensive dog care of the vet immediately.
Dorothy Kwan, the mother of Lily, started a GoFundMe to help cover the medical expenses of her beloved dog. Surprisingly, a lot of people who have heard about their story had wholeheartedly donated for the little pooch’s recovery.
