A lot of dog owners are blind to the reality of responsible pet ownership. Thus, negligence happens and the dogs suffer because of it. This is when dog rescuers usually swoop in to convince negligent owners to surrender their dogs.
A group of animal rescuers arrived at one man’s house and saw a sad situation. His dog was kept inside a dirty garage. Furthermore, this dog had a bad case of mange and is also very thin.
The rescuers talked to the man, trying to convince him to surrender his dog. He protested at first, saying he didn’t want to lose the dog. After a while, he confessed that it has been years since he last took the dog to a veterinarian. Eventually, he agreed to give the dog to the rescuers.
The rescuers proceeded to put the dog in their vehicle. They drove to a location where a foster parent would be waiting for the dog. A woman named Caitie was generous enough to provide the newly rescued dog everything it needed.
Caitie named the dog Marilyn and took the dog to a dermatologist to begin a long journey of skin treatment. The expert assured Caitie that Marilyn’s chance of being cured of mange is high. Eventually, Marilyn’s attitude changed the more time she spent with Caitie. She was shy and insecure at first, but eventually learned to show physical affection.
Marilyn eventually got adopted by a lovely couple, Hailey and Sullivan. She warmed up to them in no time. Caitie’s fostering paid off and the couple’s satisfaction was proof of it.
Marilyn’s owners love taking her to the beach. She loves going on walks because she gets to see a lot of new things. Such an inspiring turn of events wouldn’t be possible without the help of all the people involved in rescuing and caring for her. For that, Hailey and Sullivan are grateful.
