A dog does not only display loyalty to its owner but to its friends as well. That’s why if ever they don’t get to see a friend often, they’d feel sad and disappointed. This is what happened to a dog named Olive when her best friend, Solo, was gone for two weeks.
Every morning Olive and her owner would go to a nearby park to meet up with her best friend, Solo. She waits excitedly and looks around for any sign of the other dog. Sometimes if Solo is running late, she’d look frantic and unsettled.
When the two dogs meet, they would run around and have the time of their lives for half an hour. Olive would go home satisfied and excited to do the same thing the following morning. During the days when Solo doesn’t show up, Olive would feel very disappointed.
One time during the Christmas season, Solo went away for two weeks. Olive’s owner had to go to a different park during those weeks, so the dog could play with other friends. The owner knows that if she brings Olive to the same park, she will just sit in one spot and wait for Solo.
After Solo’s two-week vacation, the two dogs finally reunited. Olive’s excitement was through the roof. Their tails were wagging faster than ever when they met again. It’s understandable since two weeks is a long time from the dogs’ perspective.
The owners organized a trip to the beach to make up for the time that the two dogs didn’t see each other. Since they lived in Melbourne, the dogs got to ride the train on the way to the beach. It was a fun and new experience for them.
The owners of the two dogs also got closer and became friends. Since the trip to the beach, Solo would go to Olive’s home, and they would conduct simple parties. It’s likely that this would become a regular routine for the rest of the dogs’ lives.
