Most people adopt dogs with the promise that they will never abandon them and give them the life that they truly deserve. While most shelter dogs that get adopted do find a forever family, some dogs are returned to the animal shelter.
However, we have to remember that not all people who abandon their dogs at animal shelters are bad. Some of them just can’t look after their dogs anymore and they decided that their dogs deserve better. A dog named Wall-E is one of the few examples of dogs that were promised a forever home.
Wall-E was adopted by a loving family who truly wanted the best for him. For a few years, he lived a great life and he truly loved the family who adopted him. Wall-E had his own dog bed and his human parents bought him plenty of toys to play with.
However, everything changed when something happened in his parents’ lives that didn’t allow them to take care of Wall-E anymore. Wall-E’s parents truly wanted to keep him and tried everything to make it work. Unfortunately, there was truly no way for them to take good care of Wall-E anymore.
His parents had to make the painful decision to surrender him back to the animal shelter where they originally adopted him. Wall-E was confused and was heartbroken as he looked at his parents walking away with tears in their eyes and saying their goodbyes.
Wall-E was at his kennel with his dog bed and all of his dog toys. He found it hard to cope at the animal shelter and often displayed defensive behavior, which made it difficult to get him adopted. Thankfully, the animal shelter staff and volunteers decided to post a photo of Wall-E on social media along with his story.
The social media post worked and a woman named Lynn Lee read about Wall-E and decided to adopt him. Now, Wall-E is finally happy in his new home with a mom that will never bring him back to the shelter ever again.
