Maria was surfing the Internet when a schoolmate posted that her neighbor had kittens that needed a home. Maria decided to adopt one of the kittens, which she named Wynston, since she wanted her cat, Wyatt, and her dog, Wesley, to have a companion.
As soon as Maria finished cleaning the new kitten, she introduced Wynston to Wyatt, and the two animals became fast friends. Maria noted that Wyatt appeared so ecstatic because he instantly began playing with their newest family member after their brief introduction.
The fur mom thought that Wynston and Wesley would get along as quickly as Wyatt and Wesley did, but he wanted nothing to do with his new canine sibling. She believed that Wynston was terrified by Wesley’s stature since he was constantly on guard whenever the dog was in the vicinity.
Maria also observed that Wesley appeared somewhat envious whenever Wynston plays with Wyatt, as she frequently caught her dog gazing at the two cats while they are playing. Wynston finally got over the size disparity between himself and Wesley because, as the kitten grew, he became even more interested in his canine sibling.
Wynston began playing with Wesley’s wagging tail, and Maria observed how difficult it was for Wesley to hide his joy whenever his smaller brother does this. Wynston also began sleeping beside Wesley’s dog bed and used him as a pillow. It was a really sweet thing to see, and you would definitely feel your heart melt when you do.
Before bed, Wynston would show Wesley a great deal of affection by cuddling with him and gently rubbing his back. Perhaps it was their way of preparing each other for bed and getting a good night’s sleep.
Maria expressed gratitude that her pets are cheerful, sociable creatures who appreciate being together more than anything else.
