Bubbins wanted nothing but to receive belly rubs from his family. However, Bubbins never received what he deserved because his owners were mean to him.
Bubbins’ owners barely fed him, and he was never kept clean, but that did not stop Bubbins from behaving each day and performing tricks for his owners. However, his family just shooed him away whenever he rolls over to ask for belly rubs.
Bubbins’ tried his best to be well-behaved, but his owners always put him on the corner. Bubbins laid on the cold, hard floor and cried until his owner yelled at him to go outside.
Bubbins lived outside in a harsh, cold, dirty environment outside his house for ten years. Bubbins never received any love, belly rubs, clean and decent meal from his family, but he always believed and told himself that he would get a loving family one day.
Bubbins woke up one Sunday morning and saw that the gate was left open. Bubbins used that opportunity to leave his owners behind after suffering a decade of abuse and neglect despite not knowing what would happen to him if he goes out of the yard.
Bubbins walked a couple of blocks away when a nice man saw him wandering the streets alone. The concerned fellow saw that Bubbins did not have any collar on him, so he decided to bring the Pittie to the shelter.
Bubbins lived in the shelter for nearly a year and saw many of his fellow dogs come and go. A couple visited the pound one day and saw Bubbins greeting them with a smile and tail wag.
The couple eventually decided to adopt him because they saw that the senior dog looked like he has been through so much, but still looks happy and cheerful. Bubbins’ tail wagged so fast and could not stop jumping as soon as he realized that he finally has a loving family.
