Eris is a dog from Virginia who became famous because of her long snoot. Her parents think that her 12.2-inch snoot is the longest there is in the world. But, there is no official verification yet. Nevertheless, Eris is sweeping the internet with her good looks.
The 2-year old Eris is a Borzoi, a breed that originated from Russia. Borzois are known for their long noses, but still, Eris’ snout is beyond ordinary. According to the American Kennel Club, Borzois are usually loyal, affectionate, and royally dignified. No wonder Eris has a queenly demeanor.
Eris’ namesake in Greek Mythology is the Goddess of Strife and Discord. Sure, she looks like a dog goddess, but she does not encourage strife and discord at all. Instead, she is polite and is always happy to see other people and dogs.
When Eris’ parents first saw her as a puppy, they felt an instant connection. She walked to them and sat on their laps, and it was love at first sight. They were wary about possible complications from her long snoot, but Eris does not experience any discomfort at all.
The couple was also warned that severe dental issues might arise, but Eris seemed to grow past them. She has no concerns about her long nose. Well, she does drop her food from time to time, but so does everyone else.
If there is anything that resulted from her foot-long snoot, that will be her internet fame! She now has over 220,000 followers on her Instagram named “Eris the Borzoi: Madam Eris Overbite, Queen of Snoots.” And, her followers adore her so much.
With Eris’ striking beauty, people want to meet her wherever she goes. Her parents shared that they would usually get stopped during their walks because people would want to ask Eris’ breed. But, they now found an alternative path where they can walk more peacefully. Now, that sounds like a real celebrity!
