From the day Gemma McAdam and her girlfriend adopted the spaniel, Pogo, he had been nothing but a consistent troublemaker in the house. He always kept his fur parents on their toes and would not go a day without doing something funny and crazy.
In the four years that Pogo had been with his family, the couple was already used to the pup’s random shenanigans and believed they had seen all the tricks up his sleeves. However, it wasn’t until recently when they witnessed the spaniel pull off his most unforgettable stint yet.
That night, Gemma and her girlfriend came home and found Pogo covered in something red. Their initial reaction was that he had somehow cut himself in something sharp. So Gemma rushed to the kitchen to find the blood-stained item, while her girlfriend inspected the pup for injuries.
None of them found anything wrong, though, and eventually realized that Pogo wasn’t hurt at all. In fact, the pup was cheerfully wagging his tail at them and didn’t seem to be in any sort of pain. The couple knew that there had to be another explanation for the pup’s sudden red hue, so they searched the house some more.
That was when they happened upon an open container of red hair dye stashed in Pogo’s bed. Gemma and her girlfriend immediately doubled over in laughter at what they discovered. But just to be safe, the couple took the pup to the vet to make sure that he would be okay.
Fortunately, they were informed that Pogo was just fine and just needed a bath. However, even a thorough bath didn’t do much for the red-stained pup, and he had to wait three long months for the hue to fade entirely. Pogo didn’t seem to mind his change in color, though, and even enjoyed getting attention from strangers when they would go on a walk.
On the other hand, Gemma and her girlfriend learned their lesson and would be keeping anything chewable away from Pogo from now on. Look at the hilarious spaniel and his red-dyed fur here.
