An unnamed dog has become the topic of worldwide news because of his undying loyalty to his owner. Every day, since the man was brought to the hospital, the dog would turn up and faithfully stay, waiting for his owner to come out. Sadly, that day would never come.
Stabbed
The dog’s owner is a homeless man. He got into a deadly street fight and was fatally stabbed.
Emergency services picked him up and rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, his injuries were too extensive, and he perished.
When the 59-year-old man was taken away, his dog followed the ambulance, running through the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil, trying very hard to keep up. When the emergency vehicle arrived at the Santa Casa de Novo Horizonte hospital, the dog arrived soon after. He ran for miles, but he never gave up.
The dog didn’t know that his owner was gone, so he stayed there, waiting and hoping that he would come out and they would go back together to where they stay.
Every day the dog would come back to the front of the hospital. He sits on a rug patiently waiting. As the days passed, the hospital staff felt sorry for the dog and started caring for him. They would give him water and food.
Eventually, they found a shelter three miles away from the hospital. They took the dog there, hoping that he would be given a chance to find a new home. True enough, someone filed for his adoption. But before he could be adopted, the dog was able to escape.
True to his nature, the dog went back to the hospital where he once again planted himself in the rug and waited for his owner. He never lost hope that they would be together again.
Pictures of the dog got circulated online, and his story was told. He has become an inspiration for his love and loyalty, and hopefully, someday, he will find a new home where his love can be shared once again.
