An industrial fire gripped the hearts of the residents of Donetsk City, Ukraine. As a large complex got engulfed by small explosions and giant flames, nearby homes were in danger of getting burned themselves. The blaze was quickly spreading and winds were pushing them past the facilities.
The sky was burning orange and the smoke was incredibly thick. The people in this Russian community had no choice but to leave immediately. There was no time to gather their belongings, everybody was already panicking.
One man directed his family to go out and then grabbed his dog. Once they were outside, he put the dog down, expecting him to run away from the fire. But he did the exact opposite.
Save my friend
Anyone’s instinct, whether man or creature, tells us to run away from danger. But this dog, as soon as his feet touched the ground, ran right back into the burning house.
By that time, the house fire was already raging and the owner could not follow him. It was too dangerous, no matter how much he wanted to save his dog. Still not believing what he saw, the man just stood there looking at his house. He tried calling for his dog several times but he didn’t come out.
To his surprise, he saw his beloved dog running back outside. And caught between his snout is the little kitten they own. In all the confusion and panic, they forgot to take the small kitty with them.
Best of friends
Ever since the dog’s owners brought the abandoned kitten into their home, the gentle pooch acted as his surrogate parent. he would fawn and care for the kitten all the time. He would also take the kitty anywhere he goes, carrying the tiny feline in his mouth.
So when they got out of the burning house and he knew that the kitty was still inside, he built up the courage to go back and save him. The dog would rather sacrifice his own well-being rather than leave his best friend behind.
