Susan Barge is a Trooper who works at the Florida Highway Patrol was at the site of an automobile accident when she noticed three little puppies living beneath the porch of a nearby residence. The puppies appeared to be shivering, and no one was present to care for them.
After the area of the accident was cleared, Susan decided to visit the owner of the property where she spotted the puppies. She asked the homeowner about the puppies, but it appeared that she was unaware of where they came from. It also looked like the property owner didn’t own the puppies so Susan, who was anticipating a chilly evening, brought the puppies with her.
The nice officer brought the puppies home with her that evening. She provided them with food and a warm, comfortable place to sleep in. However, because she had no one to assist her in caring for the dogs, she was unable to foster them. But she also did not wish to take them to the shelter.
At first, she believed she could find a home for the puppies herself. She uploaded photographs of the three lovely black labs on her Facebook account. She also encouraged individuals to adopt them, or, at the very least, help her find a foster home for all of them until a permanent furever home for them can be found.
Susan was contacted by a non-profit rescue organization shortly after posting the images. They volunteered to adopt the three puppies and find them permanent homes. Susan agreed immediately.
The puppies, who were two months old at that time, were in excellent health. Therefore, they were placed for adoption immediately.
The three black puppies quickly found their own homes. They are now all living happily and have a solid and bright future.
All of these are because of a compassionate officer who has now been praised as a hero by many people because of what she did.
