We know that our dogs are our best friends. And except for some cases, we are also the best humans that we can be for our pets. But, dogs can be best friends with each other too. We’ve seen many viral stories of littermates recognizing each other even after years or dogs hanging out with each other. That level of brotherhood is what Spanky and Roman are about.
The two dogs are inseparable and do everything together. According to Jackie, their human aunt, the two pups play and sleep together. They have the strongest bond that when they are separated, they will howl and scratch the door. But, their bonds were tested when Roman got sick. It’s an ear problem that would need surgery.

To keep an eye on the dogs, the owners put up a camera in the house. That’s when they saw what was happening – an adorable moment. In the video, you can see Spanky walking towards Roman with his bed. The two dogs then both laid on it and snuggled together. Jackie decided to upload the cute moment on the dogs’ Instagram account.
People just loved the fact that Spanky cared so much for his brother that he offered his bed so the sick dog can be comfortable. He even stayed to comfort his brother and gave him some much-needed moral support! Many people have been sending love and support to the two dogs and wishing Roman to get well soon.
According to Jackie’s sister (the owners of Spanky and Roman), Roman has now undergone surgery and is doing better. Although he had to wear a cone to protect his ear from getting infected, Roman has quickly adjusted to the situation. Besides, Spanky will always be there to cheer him up and offer snuggles. The two are also back to being thick as thieves and slowly falling back to their regular play routines.
