Who wouldn’t want a photoshoot in the middle of a sunflower field? A dog owner named Agnieszka Ciszyńska thought it would be amazing to get her three lovely White Swiss Shepherds to pose for a gorgeous photoshoot with fully-bloomed sunflowers in the background. It was a perfectly sunny day, an excellent day for snapping pictures and creating beautiful portraits with her beloved furballs.
But we all knew what they said about the best-laid plans and all that jazz. What happened was a classic case of expectations versus reality, something Agnieszka probably should have expected.
White Swiss Shepherds were incredibly active and playful dogs. They adored playing active dog sports such as Frisbee, nosework, and herding. They were also exceptionally attached to their owner, choosing to follow them anywhere.
As it turned out, the sunflowers were taller than she expected, making it a bit more challenging to position her dogs for a good photo. One of her friends volunteered to become the dogs’ human chair to help the dogs be seen with the flowers. The dog ended up looking more like a hungry dinosaur surrounded with nummy flowers, instead of the majestic wolf Agnieszka was aiming for.
The more time they spent out in that field, the tastier the flowers appeared to the playful doggy trio. Soon, the three pups became more interested in tasting the sunflowers rather than making sophisticated photos with them. The images of the dogs chomping on the flowers created hilarious, yet candid, portraits, reflecting their playful and fun-loving nature.
The photoshoot, although it wasn’t what Agnieszka originally planned, resulted in an honest portrayal of her beloved dogs’ colorful personalities. The photos evoked a sense of carefree joy and happiness that people loved it. Everybody needed a good laugh now and then, more so during these challenging times.
