It’s challenging to joke around with a sleepy dog. That’s what an energetic dog named Mia learned.
Mia and her sister Maddie have always been very playful. They normally spend a lot of time together, and their energy is up most of the time. This particular time was different though.
Mia’s energy was very high, while Maddie’s was relatively low because she was very sleepy. All Maddie wanted to do was rest and have a good sleep on the couch. Mia had other plans.
She was very active and was in the mood to play with her sister. She kept urging Maddie to play with her. She was jumping around the couch and barking at her sister to join her.
The sleepy Maddie would bark at her sister. This was her way of telling her that she was not in the mode to play. She wanted her rest. Mia somehow did not get the message immediately.
She continued to convince her sister. Well, she tried. She would bark at Maddie, and Maddie would bark back in protest. This went on for a little while.
Thankfully, after a couple of minutes, she realized that Maddie was too sleepy to play with her. Mia gave up trying. She went to another couch and played by herself.
Maddie must have been so relieved to be left alone. She was trying so hard to get her sister to back off, and she finally did.
This little banter between dogs is always fun to see. Dogs arguing is interesting because it shows how similar they are to humans. They, too, can disagree and not want the same things.
Mia and Maddie may not have played at that moment but there other days that they can. They are sisters and will always have each other’s back. For sure, Maddie would want to play with Mia once she is well-rested.
