When you love your pooch so much, you will do your best to give them what they truly deserve. But one man takes things one step further by giving his pup his very own retirement home.
A man named Lorenzo has decided to buy a cabin in the woods. And eventually, he turns it into a place that his dog will always love.
Myles and Lorenzo
Lorenzo met Myles 13 years ago by chance. A local animal shelter used to take their dogs on a walk at the park, and Lorenzo would just watch them from afar. But one afternoon, the kind man had locked eyes with one of the pooches who happened to be Myles. Right there and then, he knew that he would take the pup home.
Since then, Lorenzo and Myles had become best friends. They loved doing things together, even going on hiking and swimming. It was also evident that Myles was a jovial dog who loved to enjoy life at his own pace.
Myles’ senior life
Myles got older, and it became hard for him to move around. One by one, the diagnoses from the vet came in. He had an assortment of health issues, such as arthritis, cataracts, and even heart failure. Despite all these, the senior dog was doing his best to live a happy life, albeit slow.
At this point, Lorenzo decided that he would make his dog’s life much more comfortable. He scouted for the perfect retirement home for Myles, and he succeeded.
Lorenzo had always told Myles that he would let the dog retire in the woods. He admitted that he had always figured that by his mid-30s, he would leave the city and move towards a simpler life. And partly, the pandemic inspired that move.
The property that Lorenzo bought was named Camp Myles. He invested his time and money in renovating it, so that it would easily accommodate the dog’s needs. Myles was also joined by Lorenzo’s two cats named Tofu and Mama.
It’s such a cute and happy family!
