Being a first-time mom is an exciting time, primarily when the delivery date draws near. Mommies-to-be are usually busy with preparations for the coming arrival of their little ones, making sure all baby stuff was ready and on hand. Some women even splurge on gender reveals and maternity photoshoot to commemorate this particular period in their lives.
One specific mama dog named Lilica felt the same excitement as well. With her great belly, this pregnant mama was treated to a fantastic maternity photoshoot by her owner’s friend, professional photographer Ana Paula Grillo. It was a unique and unusual request since Ana was typically hired to do family portraits.
Lilica was a perfect doggy model with her pregnancy, bringing her a distinct glow characteristic of expecting mamas. She posed happily, giving the photographer great big smiles that reflected her joy and excitement. She enjoyed being the center of this photoshoot.
With a tremendous oversized pink flower collar on her neck, this pregnant doggy showed a fabulous and sensational side to her that surprised both her owner and the photographer. Her infectious grins made the maternity shoot extra special, making Ana’s job ultimately easier. Lilica’s beauty naturally and effortlessly shone through, and the resulting photographs were simply amazing.
The entire photo session lasted for several minutes, but it was enough time for Ana to create lasting memories for Lilica and her loving owner. It was also timed perfectly since Lilica promptly went into labor the very next day. She had five healthy and adorable puppies, brand new members of their growing family.
What started as a maternity photoshoot for a pregnant doggo soon turned into a puppy pictorial featuring Lilica’s new brood. Ana also captured the newborn pups’ absolute cuteness, letting Lilica proudly show off her sweet babies. These pups eventually found their forever homes with the owner’s various family members.
