A puppy named Griffin once belonged to a caring family. He, however, spent only a few weeks with them because they decided to relinquish him to the care of PIPS (Perfectly Imperfect Pups) Rescue when they learned he wasn’t normal. They decided he would do best under their care and that they’d be able to provide the things he needed.
Griffin looked nothing different compared to other puppies, only, he could not keep his food down because of his condition called megaesophagus. He threw up shortly after his meal so he barely got the nutrition he needed. Luckily for him, his foster mom Nicole knew exactly what to do.
The puppy quickly learned a lot of things within a few days of arriving in his foster home. He knew when it was time to eat so he hurried to his high chair right away. He understood he needed to be upright in order to get the food down to his stomach so he obliged politely.
Feeding Griffin and taking care of him, in general, was no trouble at all. But Nicole was delighted when she learned that he could undergo surgery to try and correct his condition. And so, she prepped everything necessary and got him the procedure he needed.
It took about a week before the puppy recovered fully. But unlike before, he no longer needed a high chair to eat. He just needed to eat from an elevated table and he was able to get the food down to his stomach within minutes.
With how fast he recovered, Nicole figured out it was time to find the puppy’s forever home. She spent time searching for his perfect match until she met a lovely couple Kathryn and Pep. She knew they were the ones so she set up to meet with them one day, and the decision was made within 24 hours.
Kathryn and Pep were so happy and excited to bring Griffin home with them. But before they picked him up, they dropped by at the pet store and bought him a stuffed alligator and a food processor. They knew those things would be the best welcome home gifts for him, and they weren’t wrong.
Griffin loved his new mom and dad right off the bat and he felt comfortable with them in an instant. He liked the gifts they bought him and he was so appreciative of everything else that followed.
