When a Good Samaritan spotted a puppy in the middle of a landfill, he did not hesitate to do the right thing. He grabbed his phone and immediately contacted Olena Pyanov, the woman behind the charitable institution Love Furry Friends. He asked her to come quickly and she did not waste any second.
The kind man was on his way home but he decided to wait for the rescuer to arrive first. He kept his eyes on the puppy and made sure that it didn’t wander too far. He wanted to make sure that it would no longer be in the dumpsite before the day ended so he did his part in its rescue.
Olena drove as fast as she could to get to the landfill right away. When she finally arrived, the man showed her where she could find the puppy, and only until then did he leave the site. He was certain that she would do everything to help the puppy.
Without any residential houses or commercial buildings nearby, it was safe to assume that the puppy wasn’t a mere stray. Someone dumped it in the middle of the field and left it to die. Surely, it wouldn’t survive long because there was no water or food source anywhere.
The puppy, now named Lucky, rummaged through the heaps of trash in the hopes of finding something to eat. But he wasn’t too fortunate to find food all the time. As a result, he slowly lost his strength, and who knew what kind of diseases he acquired after spending some time surrounded by garbage.
The vet admitted the puppy to ensure he got the medical care and attention he needed. His test for the deadly canine parvovirus and distemper came back negative, but he was dehydrated and anemic. Within two days, however, he felt better so he left the clinic and joined his rescuer at the shelter.
He felt a little flustered by the sudden change in his environment but he quickly figured out what happened. He realized his life had just taken a turn for the better and he loved it. He flourished under Olena’s care and before long, he was ready to move on.
Lucky wasn’t so lucky at first, he ended up being so fortunate. He left his old desperate life and started fresh with his new dad.
