Countless puppies are born as strays every day. While they may survive living without a human family, we have to remember that dogs are domesticated animals and need humans to survive.
In Manitoba, Canada, a man alerted an animal rescuer named Brady Oliviera about a stray dog and her puppies living on his property. Brady acted immediately and drove to the property to meet the owner and rescue the mama dog and her puppies. After arriving at the property, the mama dog and one of her puppies greeted Brady.
The mama dog was very friendly and she even allowed Brady to pet her and her puppy. However, Brady was sure that there were other puppies. He couldn’t see or hear any other puppies in the area which made him wonder if there was only one puppy or if it was the only one that survived.
However, all of a sudden, the puppy just started running in one particular direction. Brady thought that it was weird behavior since puppies don’t usually run away from their mom. Brady decided to follow the puppy who ended up leading him to a hole under a shed.
When Brady poked his head in the hole, he was surprised to see a bunch of puppies. He decided that he wasn’t going anywhere until he figured out how to get all the puppies out of the hole and rescue them. It didn’t matter if he stayed there all night.
The puppies were quite feral and never had any contact with humans before. Even when Brady tried to catch the puppies with the catchpole, their little necks would just slip out of it. So, Brady and another rescuer decided to just lure the puppies out with kibbles.
After more than an hour of waiting, Brady was finally able to catch all the puppies and took them back to his car. There were four puppies in total and they were about eight weeks old. Eventually, Brady met with a network of his fosters to take the puppies.
In the end, all the puppies ended up in amazing forever homes. All of them are now enjoying their lives with their new families. Here’s a video featuring Brady rescuing the adorable puppies and finding a forever home for all of them.
